Hi , I'm
Jase.
I'm not just a photographer, I'm a storyteller. Every image I create is a chapter of your life, captured with emotion, intention, and truth.

Jase, Photographer
Just a photographer? Not quite.
I'm someone who romanticizes the realness of life; yours and mine; through creative, intuitive, and deeply emotive photos.
For me, photography isn't about stiff poses or perfect moments. It's about connection. It's about how you laugh when you're trying not to, the way your hands settle when you're comfortable, the quiet in-between moments that usually go unnoticed. I'm drawn to authenticity, storytelling, and images that feel alive.
I've always been someone who pays attention to the details, the atmosphere, and the emotions in a room. Whether I'm photographing seniors, couples, families, sports photos, or intimate portraits, my approach is built on trust and comfort. When you feel like yourself, the photos naturally become the best version of your story.
My style blends clean editorial influence with moody, emotional tones, focused on genuine expression rather than forced perfection. I'm driven by creativity, intuition, and a desire to make every session feel meaningful, intentional, and uniquely yours.
To me, photography is more than a job. It's art. It's memory. It's the way we freeze parts of life we never want to forget.
My goal is simple: to create images that feel like you; honest, warm, and unforgettable.

Our Equipment
CAMERA + BODY
I shoot with the Canon EOS R7 as my main camera body, and honestly this thing is a beast. The R7 packs a 32.5 MP APS C sensor that delivers crips detail and beautiful color. The autofocus is fast, sticky, and amazing at tracking eyes which is exactly what you want for portrait sessions where expression and emotion matter. It handles motion well without struggling to lock focus, which helps when I am photographing seniors walking through a field, athletes mid action, or even little kids who never stop moving.
This camera also shoots at high frame rates which lets me capture several versions of the same moment so I never miss the perfect smile or split second that hair falls just right. Low light performance is strong for indoor and golden hour shoots. Skin tones come out natural, clean, and flattering which means less time fixing images in post and more time creating art. Paired with the right lenses, the R7 produces that smooth background blur everyone loves in professional portraits. It handles outdoor sun, studio session, and those moody dramatic edits I enjoy creating.
This camera lets me shoot confidently because it keeps up with my style. It is fast, sharp, reliable, and built for the type of work I do which is why it remains the heart of my kit for Senior Portraits, Family Sessions, Professional Headshots, and everything in between.
I keep a variety of lenses in my kit because every session calls for a different mood, depth, and feel. Lenses control the look of the portrait just as much as the camera does, and having options lets me create the style my client wants.
My go to is my 50 MM, which is classic for portraits. It gives that natural field of view close to how the eye sees and produces creamy background blur when the aperture is opened up. It is perfect for senior portraits, couples, lifestyle sessions, and anything where we want a dreamy but true-to-life look.
I also work with an 85 MM and 70 - 200 MM ranges, especially when I want those cinematic close ups with background compression. These lenses pull the subject forward and melt the scenery behind them into soft color. They work beautifully for dramatic portraits, headshots, and emotional storytelling moments. They allow me to stand back and capture candid natural expressions without being right in the clients space.
SMOOTH MOTION + AERIAL PERSPECTIVE
Along with cameras and lighting, I bring movement and elevation into my work using DJI equipment. The DJI ronin gimbal is my tool for capturing buttery smooth motion shots. When I'm filming seniors, branding reels, or creative short videos, the Ronin takes away camera shake and gives that cinematic glide people normally associate with professional commercials and music videos. It lets me move around my subject, track them as they walk or push in slowly for dramatic close ups without jitter. Motion adds feeling and energy to a story, and the ronin gives me that fluid movement that keeps the viewers eyes locked in.
For aerial work, I fly a DJI Maverick Pro and a DJI Mini Pro, which opens a whole new angle of creativity. From sweeping overhead landscapes to dynamic top down shots, drones bring perspective that you simply cannot get on the ground. This is perfect for senior sessions at stadiums or parks, outdoor family sessions, rural scenery, and creative film projects where we want to show setting and scale. When someone walks across a field or stands alone against an open horizon, the drone captures it in a way that feels cinematic and larger than life.
The aerial view sets the scene. The gimbal brings motion and emotions to the frame. Together they allow me to create not just portraits, but full visual stories. It elevates sessions from still images to immersive experiences where moments feel alive, dynamic, and beautifully produced.
CREATIVE PROPS + SESSION ART
I like to bring a little extra magic into my shoots, and props are a fun way to do it. I keep fog machines, laser lights, prism accessories, and colored lenses, and other creative tools on hand so I can build a scene instead of just taking a portrait. When we mix these elements with lighting and movement, the result feels bold and cinematic.
The fog machine adds atmosphere and depth, especially in low light portraits. When fog drifts through the frame it catches the light and creates glowing beam, soft haze, and layers that make the subject pop. Seniors and athletes love it for dramatic shots because it feels mysterious and powerful, almost like a movie poster moment. Fog works beautifully with colored lighting, rim lights, or backlit portraits where we want a surreal, dreamy look.
Laser Lights take things even further. They cut through haze and create patterns, beams and futuristic vibes. This setup is perfect for creative sessions, sports photography, nighttime portraits, and branding shoots where we want something edgy and unforgettable. With precise control over angles and intensity, I can fill the background with laser grids, split beams behind the subject, or add subtle accents for a modern style.
These props give us freedom to experiment. We can make portraits moody, energetic, whimsical, or bold depending on the setup. Instead of basic backdrops, we build scenes that feel like album covers, magazine spreads, or hero shots. It keeps sessions fun, unique, and full of personality, and it means no two shots ever look the same.
LIGHTS, LIGHTS, LIGHTS.
Lighting is where the magic really happens. I use a professional strobe setup along with constant RGB lighting and soft modifiers so I can shape light the way I want it instead of relying on whatever the environment gives me. Good lighting seperates an amateur shot from a polished portrait, and my gear lets me create studio quality work whether we are inside or shooting outdoors at sunset.
My main lights are the Godox strobes and softbox modifiers, which give me clean, controlled light with beautiful falloff on the skin. With a large softbox, I get soft shadows and flattering highlights that smooth skin and bring out natural detail. When I want something bold and dramatic, I switch to grids or smaller modifiers to create contrast and depth. It helps define jawlines, sharpen features, and gives that professional portrait look that pops.
For creative portraits, sports photography, and seniors who want something different, I use RGB accent lights and atmospheric effects. Colored rim lights behind the subject adds glow, while side lighting builds shape and dimension. Paired with fog or haze, it creates a cinematic style you normally see in magazine covers and athlete promos. This gives me freedom to design the mood of the shot instead of just taking a picture of a moment.
Lighting is what allows me to control the scene, sculpt emotion, and bring out personality. Every setup is intentional, whether soft and warm ro families or dramatic and edgy for seniors and athletes. With the right light, the camera sees what I feel and the final image becomes art.
BACKUP
When you book a session with me, you are trusting me with memories that matter. Because of that, I take reliability seriously. I show up prepared with multiple batteries, battery backups, and dual SD cards so the session never pauses and your images are protected from the moment they are captured.
I carry fully charged camera batteries plus external battery backups to power lights, camera gear, monitors, and anything we need on location. This means we can shoot as long as we want without worrying about equipment dying mid-session, especially during outdoor shoots or creative night work where outlets are nowhere in sight. If a battery drains, I swap instantly and we keep shooting without missing a moment.
For storage, I use backup SD cards and redundant recording so every photo is captured safely. I rotate cards during long sessions and keep additional cards in my kit so memory is never an issue. Your images aren't just saved once, they're secured with a plan that protects them from accidental loss. After the session ends, I transfer your files to secure storage systems so they are protected from start to finish.
This backup workflow might not be something you see during a session, but it is one of the most important parts of what I do. Your photos matter too much to leave anything to chance, and I treat every shoot with the same level of care as if it were my own memories on that card.
